NetDocuments UK Service Status
Monitoring - This past weekend, we moved our primary data centre from Redhill to Newport. The move was successful and the data centre is fully operational. However, the Netapp platform is currently in the process of reorganising the data as part of its normal routine. This is a maintenance routine that can’t be interrupted once started. As this process moves forward, performance is being impacted at various points for some Customers. We are currently working behind the scenes to mitigate the performance issues as they arise. Performance is improving daily as the job gets closer to completion. We apologise for the inconvenience around this issue.

Scheduled - UK Data Centre Move/Maintenance Window

The vendor that NetDocuments currently leases space from within the Redhill data centre is relocating to a new data centre location and has terminated their lease on the current space. NetDocuments has no reasonable options to lease the space in the RedHill data centre. We have made the business decision to migrate our London area data centre to a new location.

We will be moving to a Digital Realty Trust, Tier-1 rated facility located outside the London Central Business District. Upon completion of the move, this facility will become the permanent DR data centre in the NetDocuments UK Service region.

We will be promoting the existing Newport facility as the primary or production data centre on Saturday evening, November the 14th, 2020 (20:00 GMT). The NetDocuments Service in the UK Service region (eu.netdocuments.com) will be completely unavailable for 8 hours while the newly elevated production environment is brought online and tested. During this time, we will permanently route traffic to the Newport data centre facility as the primary or production data centre in the UK Service region.

All security, encryption and other protection measures will be in place during the migration. All client data is already replicated and present in the Newport facility. The work on November 14th will bring the new production instance up to full operational tempo and capacity while also permanently routing Internet network traffic to the Newport facility.

Once the service comes back online, Customers will login as they normally would, the only difference being that they will be connecting to the data centre in Newport instead of the Redhill facility.

During the scheduled maintenance, you will not be able to access any content from the NetDocuments service. We highly recommend that prior to the maintenance window, you download anything you may need during that event.
